Obedience & Tricks Instructor

I have grown-up with and owned dogs all my life. This has allowed me to experience their unique abilities and overwhelming love, devotion and companionship. Throughout the years I have taken part and experienced many different methods of dog training however I never fully agreed with all of the methods used or thought they were completely fair.

About 5 years ago I met Kate and she introduced me to the world of force free and reward-based dog training, with her help and support I have gone from dog owner/handler to assistant dog trainer and now dog training instructor. My particular passions are play, obedience, tricks and canine massage/ T touch.

I believe it’s important that all dogs have a basic understanding of how we expect them to behave, it’s unfair to expect our dogs to know how to behave without some help and guidance from us. Trick training and free style heel work is a fantastic way to bring dog and handler closer together in a fun and engaging way.

Helping owners to communicate more effectively and understand their dogs is so important and immensely rewarding to me.
I am also currently studying to learn more about T touch and canine massage techniques as a form of therapy to incorporate into my training.

I have three dogs, my 6-year-old golden retriever Nell, my 3 year old shih-tzu Yorkshire terrier cross Ted, and most recently my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Smudge (the nuttiest of the bunch). I Love them all dearly and they make me laugh every day.
